Job Overview
The DevOps Mentor will provide expert training and mentorship to Eduroids' students on a part-time basis, emphasizing the practical implementation of DevOps tools and methodologies. The role involves delivering interactive sessions, developing up-to-date course content, and guiding students through real-world DevOps workflows to prepare them for careers in cloud computing and CI/CD automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery:
Conduct weekend training sessions covering DevOps principles, tools, and cloud deployment strategies. - Curriculum Development:
Design and maintain course content that aligns with current industry best practices in DevOps and cloud-native technologies. - Hands-On Learning:
Facilitate projects and case studies, helping students gain experience in DevOps practices like CI/CD, configuration management, and container orchestration. - Mentorship:
Provide personalized guidance, addressing queries and helping students understand complex DevOps tools and techniques. - Industry Alignment:
Ensure course material stays relevant to the latest DevOps trends, tools, and methodologies used in modern organizations. - Assessment and Feedback:
Evaluate participant performance through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement. - Knowledge Transfer:
Share real-world insights to connect theoretical concepts with practical DevOps implementations.
Key Measures
- Student Progress:
Monitor skill development, ensuring students gain proficiency in core DevOps tools and methodologies. - Industry Relevance:
Maintain alignment with current trends in cloud platforms, automation tools, and infrastructure as code. - Feedback Scores:
Achieve high ratings for training quality and mentorship effectiveness. - Project Completion:
Ensure students successfully complete DevOps projects, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerized applications.
Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud computing, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience working with Fortune 500 companies is preferred.
- Proven expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and cloud deployments.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and log management tools.
